Summary
Report prepared by Mr. Wallace from the Select Committee of the Senate on the House resolution authorizing the Treasurer of Virginia to receive a portion of the proceeds from the sales of public lands from the United States Treasurer. The report resolved that this action was unconstitutional and the House resolution should be rejected. A supplemental report added that the federal government, not state, was credited for public funds deposited at the Bank of Virginia.
