Summary
The Collection contains 104 documents originally filmed in chronological order, with minor exceptions, and divided into two volumes. The document numbering was added by LLMC Digital editors merely to facilitate subsequent reference. The first volume contains 52 documents in French or Spanish dating from August 16, 1734 to August 1, 1796. Favrot family members referenced in these papers include Claude Joseph Favrot and Pedro [i.e., Pierre-Joseph] Favrot. The second volume contains the remaining 52 documents again in French or Spanish dating between July 31, 1796 and Augst 10, 1799. Here Pedro Favrot, Commandant of Fort San Felipe, is the main object and recepient of the correspondence. The topics addressed are principally of military and administrative affairs. Each document is preceded by a catalog card indicating the date, reference number, subject matter, and physical description of the document.
