Proceedings and resolutions from various counties in Virginia, as well as other counties in non-slaveholding states regarding the subject of abolition. These resolutions supported the right of slave states to own slaves unencumbered by the abolitionists' beliefs. Of note, some counties included Albany, New York, Hartford, Connecticut, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and other northern counties.
