Summary
1847 memorial of the President and Directors of the Rappahannock Company which was submitted to the General Assembly and referred to the Committee of Road and Internal Navigation on December 7, 1847. The legislature had approved certain funds for improvements in the river in 1845; however, the contractor's superior work and additions to the listed requirements was more expensive. The petitioner sought additional funds to pay these costs. Supporting documents were attached to this memorial.
