Summary
Report of a Maryland House special committee regarding public lands as was noted in a governor's message to the legislature. After much discussion the committee concluded that the governor was erroneous in the surrender of claims. Resolutions were proposed which stated that public lands were part of the common property of states, as opposed to the federal government, and the lands should be distributed to the states.
