Summary
Report of the Committee on the Expediency of opening the sale of Massachusetts' land in Maine, accompanied by an act to establish a land office and an act to provide for the payment of public debts. These acts were included in the 1808 legislative session.

"The Committee appointed to perform the services directed by the within Resolve, have attended their duty therein, and after due consideration of the subject submitted to them, ask leave to report to the Legislature, two Bills--one entitled, 'An Act to establish a Land Office, under the direction of Commissioners for the Sale and settlement of the Public Lands;' the other entitled, 'An Act to provide for the payment of the "Public Debt of this Commonwealth,' both of which are respectfully submitted to the consideration of the Legislature. January 6, 1808. [Signed] Perez Morton, Per Order."--Page 2.
