Who's who in American art contains information on artists, curators, administrators, librarians, historians, collectors, and dealers associated withart in the United States. The entries include date and place of birth; educationand training; exhibitions; museums holding the artist's work; books and articleswritten by the entrants or about them; the media in which the entrant works; theentrant's dealer or representative; and a mailing address. When selecting artists for inclusion in this publication, consideration is givento works in public collections, commissioned works, and exhibitions of aninternational, national, and wide regional scope in noncommercial galleries andmuseums. Inclusion of entrants other than artists is based on position andexperience in the art world.
