The map includes names and locations of Indian tribes and settlements and animal vignettes. The map follows the east coast from modern day New Brunswick in the north to Chesapeake Bay in the south. To the west, the map extends as far as the Susquehanna River following its northern branch. The northernmost part the the map includes the St. Lawrence River.
