Summary
Journals of the Convention of the free, sovereign and independent people of Texas. Of note, this convention wrote the Texas Declaration of Independence, prepared a constitution, organized an interim government, and named Sam Houston commander-in-chief. However it adjourned on March 17 due to Santa Anna's invading army.
