Summary
1835 Petition on currency, which sought to have fluctuations minimized and to have it based on silver and gold money. The petitioners included three requests: no grants of new banks until the issues are resolved; pass measures to ensure banks property redeem bills; and to enter negotiations with other New England states on this issue of currency and the influence of corporations in that matter.
