Summary
1832 Bill of the General Assembly to appoint a guardian for the Narragansett Indians, with some edits. Of note, this bill was continued for a year until the 1833 session. Sections included provisions to lease property of the tribe and of those deemed not to improve appropriately; the right to sell timber; ability to hire out poor Indian children in the same way as overseers of the towns' poor children do so; and numerous other sections.
